The Laila Peak Expedition is designed for climbers who want to test their skills on a challenging but achievable high-altitude mountain. Laila Peak rises to about 6,000 meters in the Karakoram Range, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. With its distinctive needle like summit and dramatic shape, it is often described as one of the most beautiful peaks in the Karakoram.

Cancellation Policy

  • 30% deposit is non-refundable once the booking is confirmed.
  • Cancellations made 30 days before departure receive a 50% refund (excluding deposit).
  • Cancellations made 25 days before departure receive a 25% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 20 days before departure are non-refundable.
  • If the expedition is canceled due to weather, road closures, or government restrictions, refunds are provided only for unused services.
  • No refund for early departure, voluntary cancellation, or leaving the expedition mid-way.
  • Rescue, evacuation, and medical expenses are not refundable.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover cancellations, emergencies, and delays.

What To Expect

Day 1 – Arrival in Islamabad

Welcome to Pakistan! Our team will meet you at Islamabad International Airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for rest after your flight. In the evening, we’ll gather for a trip briefing and optional sightseeing around the city.

Day 2 – Flight to Skardu (2,230 m)

Take a short scenic flight to Skardu with breathtaking views of K2, Nanga Parbat, and the Karakoram peaks. Spend the afternoon exploring SKARDU markets, lakes, and historic sites like the Buddha Rock.

  • Note: If the flight is canceled due to weather, we will drive to Chilas for an overnight stay and continue to Skardu by road the next day.

Day 3 – Briefing & Preparation in Skardu

Today you’ll complete your expedition registration, meet the support team, and do final gear checks. Optional sightseeing includes the Kharpocho Fort or a nearby organic village.

Day 4 – Drive to Hushe (3,170 m)

  • Early morning drive along the Indus and Shyok Rivers, passing small villages and the Khaplu Valley. Arrive in Hushe, a traditional Balti village surrounded by mountain views, and set up camp.

Day 5 – Trek to Saicho (3,300 m)

  • Start trekking toward Saicho, an easy and scenic walk with Masherbrum Peak in view. Arrive by midday and relax at camp.

Day 6 – Trek to Base Camp (4,535 m)

Trek to Laila Peak Base Camp, near the Gondogoro Glacier. The trail offers amazing views of surrounding peaks. Set up base camp and rest.

Days 7–17 – Acclimatization & Climb

This is your climbing period on Laila Peak. The climb involves mixed rock and ice, reaching around 55° inclination. You’ll have enough days for acclimatization and a summit attempt. Our cook and staff will remain at base camp to support you with logistics and fresh meals.

Day 18 – Trek Back to Saicho

Pack up and trek down to Saicho, enjoying the return views of the valley.

Day 19 – Trek to Hushe

A short and easy walk back to Hushe Village. Celebrate your climb with the porters and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 20 – Drive to Skardu

Say goodbye to the Hushe team and drive back to Skardu. Stop at Khaplu Fort and the historic Chaqchan Mosque on the way.

Day 21 – Flight to Islamabad

Fly back to Islamabad, enjoy free time in the afternoon, and gather for a farewell dinner in the evening.

If the flight is canceled, we’ll travel to Islamabad by road via Naran.

Day 22 – Contingency / Free Day

If there was no flight delay, this day is free for sightseeing or relaxing in Islamabad. If the flight was delayed, this is your travel buffer day.

Day 23 – Departure Day

  • After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Islamabad International Airport for your flight home.
